Rudraksha is a seed of a fruit
which is covered with a pulp and an outer skin. The skin is green in colour
like a banana skin, but when plucked from the tree and allowed to remain as it
is, the colour of the skin turn blackish blue. The diameter of the seed is upto
1inch and is nearly round in shape and belongs to the Elaeocarpus Ganitras
family.
